Land Rover
The Land Rover Discovery was launched in September 1989 and is generally accepted as the vehicle that saved Land Rover.
The Discovery soon became a must have vehicle in Japan where its style made it a status symbol.
Because of superb public transport and high congestion on the roads they are not used much and certainly never off-road and most spend a cosseted life.
It follows that if these sought after vehicles can be bought and imported back into England they have the following advantages:-
- Higher specification than non-exported models.
- Very low mileages for year.
- Comprehensive service histories.
- Never been off-road.
- Never been used to tow.
- Rust and corrosion free.
- High value when compared to equivalent UK vehicles.
Possible disadvantages:-
- Nearly all vehicles are automatic transmission, manual very rare.
Employing the services of a highly qualified motor engineer as my agent in Japan I always have Discoveries available here or on the way from Japan by sea.
I specialise in 300 series TDi’s and normally have seven-seater County models as well as five-seat available. |
